LG Storage, Lighting and HVAC testimonial at FMA Summits
Speaker: Victoria Sandville, Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Development, Government and University Verticals, LG Electronics.
Segment: Storage, HVAC, LED lighting and enterprise energy solutions for government and university facilities.
Goal: Meet decision makers across target verticals, develop large long term project opportunities and replace cold outreach into facilities with qualified meetings.
Victoria Sandville leads enterprise business development for LG Electronics across government and university verticals. Her cross selling team represents LG storage, lighting and HVAC solutions, as well as other technologies in the portfolio, in these markets.
In this testimonial she explains why LG has now attended seven FMA Summits. Multiple LG business units find repeat value in the format because they can meet the key stakeholders who make decisions on specifications and long term project opportunities, not just general representatives with no role in the facility process.
Victoria contrasts FMA with larger, more anonymous conferences. Many events are dominated by vendors and quick, surface level interactions. At FMA, the smaller room and curated delegate list support deeper conversations. LG has enough time to sit down with decision makers, hear their goals and mission, learn about their business and then explore where LG technology can support energy efficiency, digitalization and long term planning. Instead of cold calling facilities after designs are complete, her team connects early with the stakeholders who control the ideation, design and specification stages.

I am Victoria Sandville. I work for LG Electronics. I am the senior manager of enterprise business development for the government and university verticals. It is a cross selling team, so I am responsible for all LG products and being the face to the end user for LG.
This is our seventh conference at the FMA Summit. It is our seventh summit and that is because a lot of our business units have found value in coming to a summit like this. We have HVAC, LED lighting, solar and storage. Each one of our business units comes here to meet the key stakeholders who make decisions on not only specifying their products but really developing large long term project opportunities that benefit their business.
What I find different with FMA Summit versus some of the other conferences that we attend as a company is that this is on a smaller scale, which allows for much more conducive conversations with the key stakeholders. I am not going around and running and grabbing people to talk to. We have enough time where we can sit down and really talk through what their goals and their mission is, learn about their business and then have a conversation on where maybe LG can work with them.
These are decision makers here. These are not just people who represent the company but really do not play a part in the decision making process for facility management. That is really important to us. If we do not come here then we are cold calling on all these facilities.
We have gotten a couple of really solid leads from here that we are excited to follow up with in our target verticals. We have two corporates that are very enthusiastic and engaging with us and identifying what type of technology consultation plan they can roll out on energy efficiency and digitalization, as well as several universities and a school district. These are valuable leads with the key stakeholders who make the decisions on who comes into the ideation process and the design process at the early stage, as opposed to us having to knock on the door after something is already designed and trying to change a specification.
That is why we are here and we are grateful for the opportunity.
