Mark’s presentation will review multi-year strategies for energy efficiency, boiler infrastructure, and automation at two synthetic polymer and fiber production facilities. One plant is in the UK and one in the US. Both sites were over 50 years old and had aging infrastructure. These examples demonstrate that a long term vision and integrated strategy can reduce energy, maintenance, operations, and sustaining capital requirements for existing facilities.
Manjeet’s presentation titled “Advanced analytics applications for efficient warehousing, packaging and transportation” will introduce advanced analytics application in various fields within warehousing, packaging and transportation functions. The concepts will be presented using real life industry examples.
Our history has several examples where challenging times has propelled advancements in our society at an accelerated pace as a response to times. At our company, we saw a similar phenomenon as a result of the 2018 challenges experienced in the transportation space. The capacity, service and cost pressures necessitated a response that drove advancements in areas such as load forecasting, end-to-end visibility, digital and AI supply chain enablers, etc.
Guilermo’s presentation will explore the road map for supply chain renovation: unparalleled customer service (effectiveness) while driving cost down (efficiency). Markets are dynamic; we must accelerate our rate of improvement if we want to be ahead of competition in the future.
Peter is the Operations Director of Enterprise Lean Manufacturing for Raytheon’s Engineering, Technology and Mission Assurance function. Peter assumed this role in 2014 and is responsible for applying waste elimination processes throughout Raytheon’s value stream. A main focus area is Operational Excellence, or the Mindset and Practice of Continuous improvement. This mindset is based on the 90% people; 10% tools approach which stresses comprehensive employee engagement as a driving force behind continuous improvement.
Will has been a Corporate Officer of Lord Corporation since 2003. During his 26 year tenure, he has held positions of Vice President of Global Operations, Supply Chain, and Operations Development. He serves on the Board of the National Association of Manufacturers and is a senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He received a B.S. degree in Finance from St. John Fisher College and an MBA in Operations Management from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Dennis is the Global Director of Continuous Improvement and has been in the automotive and non-automotive business for over twenty years. He is a bottom line focused executive with a consistent established record of increased productivity and total corporate performance, profit, revenue growth and shareholder value with an extensive background in lean manufacturing.
Don will be discussing the company’s journey on the path to sustainability and the issues and challenges and successes in building an award-winning program that has become a pillar of Keystone’s global strategy.
John is a results oriented leader with 20 years of operations/manufacturing experience and 3 years product management experience. He has extensive training in lean manufacturing and is skilled in lean implementation and strategy development. he has strong analytical capability versed in structured problem solving and is certified as Shainin Problem Solving Rolling Top 5 Manager. John is an articulate communicator that builds sustainable business relationships and serves as a collaborative leader.
Joe has a specialized background in manufacturing automation systems. Joe’s background in optimizing manufacturing systems made him a perfect fit to lead BASF’s Lean Six Sigma program at the Elyria, OH Catalyst Site as Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager in 2013. Joe is actively leading the Catalyst’s division Lean Six Sigma Program using it as an enabler in 2020 Strategy towards business and operational excellence.
