The overall process from setting the environmental/financial goal, to creating an energy baseline and preforming the critical energy audit is reviewed. Tracking performance is also discussed along with how to make a program sustainable over time.

Jim’s presentation title is “Laboratory Lighting and HVAC Savings” which will explain how AbbVie installed LED lighting along with a next generation lighting control system to reduce the electricity spend in one of their large laboratory buildings in the Chicago area.  Then leveraged the new lighting control system and the existing building automation system to drive further HVAC energy savings. This presentation will give an overview of the project and highlight the opportunities and challenges.

Wendy’s position includes oversight of Facilities Maintenance and Operations; Planning, Design and Construction; Real Estate & Energy Management; Facilities Business Services, including General Services and Food Services. He holds a BSBA in management from Suffolk University and Masters in Facilities from Cambridge College. In addition, two designations. Certified facilities manager (CFM) and Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR).
